Richard Kelly Experience Online
Talking Photography N'at (a “Coronaxperience")
Hosted by Richard Kelly
Talking Photography N’at
is presented Every Other Tuesday 6:30 to 8:00 PM Eastern Time
Photographers Talking Photography N’at
(“N’at” is a Pittsburgh regional expression mashing up the words “and” and “that” meaning “et cetera”)
The concept is simple: photographers getting together to look at photography. Photographers show finished projects, works in progress, or a body of work by a photographer you are currently exploring.
We meet every other Tuesday evening from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM using Google Meet. https://meet.google.com/sdn-iyox-qgy
The format is pretty straight forward; photographers share their presentation.
If you would like to make a presentation, send me an email email@example.com. I will schedule your request to present as slots are available.
Each photographer presenter will have between 15- 20 minutes to show their work and for a conversation to ensue. We tend to look at work with a lively and upbeat discussion about photography. Let us know at the outset if you want any technical or aesthetic feedback.
To prepare your work for presentation, send me your image files as jpegs, export them, or resize them to be 1024 pixels on the long side at 72 PPI save at high quality around 10. I have tested the online system, which seems to give us the full benefit of most screens and keep the size manageable for bandwidth. Larger files do not render the quality better; they slow down the process. Rename the images with your last name and the order number for the show. (KELLY_01.jpg).
Please place them in a zip compressed folder and send me the link to firstname.lastname@example.org

Andrew Southam : Healthcare professionals: Portraits & Conversations.
There’s so much information and misinformation, science and terror out there now about the still to be contained Coronavirus, I wanted to speak to someone on the front lines of exposure to Covid 19 every day.
"This begins a series of portraits and conversations with front line health care professionals; doctors, nurses, and therapists and people in supporting roles. These people have become central to this moment in ways none of them had foreseen. None of them describe themselves as a hero. But given the hours they’re working now, and the personal risk to themselves and their families they undertake to care for the public each day, I don’t think it would be an exaggeration. At first I had concerns about asking for time with people who are doing life and death work right now. But what I’ve discovered is that this is a story that health care people want to be told, but are far too busy to tell. I’ll be posting their portraits and a short excerpt from my conversations with them here. And my entire interviews with them in my website. Stay safe." Andrew Southam
